 - I figured since this blog is called "Birding Beavercreek" I should spend a little time close to home. This is a "Chase" post. A guide to my attempt to find, see, and photograph a particular bird.

I've been talking with Alexander Clark, a birder and photographer in Cedarville about Barred Owls. He has been on the chase for some time and finally struck gold this week at the Narrows. I am planning to take a trip over there after work tonight to see if I can share in his good fortune!

The only Barred Owl I have ever seen is the one I have a photo of in this post (also on the main blog page) that I saw when visiting the Glen Helen Raptor Center. I've never seen one in the wild.

So, the Chase is On! Hope to have good news when I return. (Can't promise good photos, it will be pretty dark! But I will try)
